What to expect in 2027

Tortuga Music Festival 2027 will return to Fort Lauderdale Beach for a three-day beachfront celebration combining country, rock, roots and crossover music with an oceanfront setting and marine-conservation activities. The festival is scheduled for April 2–4, 2027, and is produced in partnership with Rock The Ocean, with a portion of proceeds supporting ocean conservation initiatives.

The 2027 lineup is still being finalized, so the artists and daily schedule have not yet been announced. The festival is expected to feature three stages, Conservation Village, food and craft vendors, shaded areas, water refill stations and premium hospitality areas.

Tortuga is held directly on Fort Lauderdale Beach, with the festival grounds combining sandy beach areas, paved boardwalks and beach decking. The site features three stages: Main Stage, Sunset Stage and Next From Nashville Stage.

The festival also includes Conservation Village, where guests can learn about marine conservation and the work of Rock The Ocean.

Food & drink at the festival

Food, drink and craft vendors are located throughout the festival grounds. General admission guests have access to free water refill stations, while premium areas provide additional hospitality amenities.

Alcohol is available to guests of legal drinking age with valid identification. The festival is cashless, accepting wristband cashless payments, credit and debit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free food options are also available.

Accessibility

Tortuga provides accessible entrances, paved routes, beach decking, accessible viewing areas, accessible restrooms and an onsite Accessibility Services Hub. Guests with disabilities can receive a complimentary accessibility wristband and one companion wristband.

Service animals are permitted following verification, while the festival also provides first-aid facilities and accepts requests for services such as ASL interpretation and other effective communication accommodations.

Best days to attend

Friday: Best for fans who want the opening-day atmosphere and a strong mix of established and emerging artists.

Saturday: Usually a good choice for fans seeking a balanced programme across the festival’s three stages.

Sunday: Ideal for guests who want to finish the weekend with the final headliner and a full day of music.

Because the 2027 artist schedule has not yet been released, the best day for a particular artist cannot currently be confirmed.

The 2026 edition featured three major headliners: Post Malone, Riley Green and Kenny Chesney. The programme also included Dwight Yoakam, Ice Cube, The Fray, Tyler Hubbard, Russell Dickerson, Dustin Lynch, Lukas Nelson, Colbie Caillat and Amanda Shires.

The 2026 schedule used three stages throughout the weekend, with Main Stage performances running alongside Sunset Stage and Next From Nashville performances. The festival also continued its ocean-conservation focus through Conservation Village and Rock The Ocean initiatives.

Tortuga normally operates three stages:

In 2026, headline sets included Post Malone at 8:25 PM Friday, Riley Green at 8:25 PM Saturday and Kenny Chesney at 8:25 PM Sunday.

Ticket release phases

The 2027 public on-sale date for festival-only passes is currently TBD. Hotel and festival packages are already being offered through the festival’s official hotel programme.

When the general ticket sale opens, prices may be released in tiers. Tortuga’s previous ticket structure used tiered pricing, with prices increasing as allocations sold and closer to the festival.

VIP/Village options

GA+: Includes access to the GA+ Lounge, relaxed seating, air-conditioned flushable restrooms, a full-service bar, complimentary canned water, charging facilities, a misting chill zone and dedicated concierge service.

VIP: Provides access to the VIP Grove at the Main Stage and VIP Oasis at the Sunset Stage, premium complimentary beverages, air-conditioned restrooms, a pool, Coconut Lounge amenities, exclusive entrances and exits, VIP food vendors and concierge service.

Super VIP: Adds a private dining room and lounge, elevated complimentary cuisine, premium beverages, a viewing deck, front-of-stage viewing areas, private restrooms and additional concierge services.

Conservation Village: A festival-wide educational area focused on marine conservation, environmental awareness and the work of Rock The Ocean.

Festival rules

Important festival rules include:

• All ages are welcome.
• Children age 6 and under receive free General Admission.
• Guests may exit and re-enter once per day.
• All guests and bags are searched upon entry.
• Outside alcohol and beverages are prohibited.
• Weapons, illegal substances, fireworks and glass containers are prohibited.
• Large bags, coolers, large umbrellas, drones and professional recording equipment are prohibited.
• Aerosol sunscreen is prohibited; non-aerosol sunscreen is permitted.
• Small hydration packs and permitted clear bags are allowed.
• Low-profile beach chairs may only be used in designated chair areas.
• Unauthorized vending and merchandise sales are prohibited.
• The festival operates on a cashless basis.
• The event takes place rain or shine.

How to get there

By water taxi: Festival water-taxi service operates between Riverside Hotel, Hilton Marina and Galleryone DoubleTree Hotel stops, providing an alternative to road traffic.

By train: Brightline provides high-speed service to Fort Lauderdale from Miami, Aventura, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and Orlando.

By rideshare: Uber and Lyft are available throughout Fort Lauderdale.

By car: There is no official festival parking. Guests are advised to use local parking facilities or alternative transportation.

Public transport after the festival

Water taxis are one of the main festival transportation options for returning toward participating Fort Lauderdale stops, while Uber and Lyft provide additional options after the event. Brightline is useful for visitors continuing their journey to other South Florida destinations, although travelers should check the final train times before leaving the festival.
