Ticket release phases

Mission Bayfest’s 2026 ticket sale is currently at Tier 3, with Tier 1 and Tier 2 sold out. The official website currently identifies Tier 3 as on sale.

The ticket structure therefore follows a tiered-release model in which earlier ticket tiers are offered before later tiers.

The organizer does not currently publish a complete historical price chart for each 2026 tier on the main ticket page. How to get there

The official festival address is Mariner’s Point Park, 3119 Mariners Way, San Diego, CA 92109. Rideshare passengers can use the designated rideshare area near the festival entrance.

By car: Free parking is available at the Hospitality Point Dirt Lot across the street from 1840 Quivira Way, with a free shuttle connecting the parking area to the festival.

By rideshare: The festival has a designated rideshare area in front of the entrance. The recommended drop-off address is 3119 Mariners Way.

By bicycle: A dedicated, well-lit bicycle locking area is available at the Bonita Cove East Parking Lot near the rideshare area.

Public transport after the festival

The official festival information identifies MTS Bus Route 8 as the principal public transportation option. Route 8 connects the Old Town area with a stop near the festival on Mission Boulevard and West Mission Bay Drive.

Visitors leaving after the evening performances should check the current MTS timetable before traveling because the festival runs late and service frequency can vary.

Rideshare is another practical option for guests who prefer direct transportation back to their accommodation.

Accommodation areas

Mission Beach: The closest area for visitors wanting to remain near Mariner’s Point Park. It offers beachside hotels, vacation rentals and restaurants within the broader Mission Bay area.

Food & drink at the festival

Outside food and beverages are not permitted, including bottled water. Empty refillable water bottles under 24 ounces are allowed, so visitors can bring an approved empty bottle for use at the festival. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free food options are available inside the event.

VIP guests also have access to the VIP area’s discounted tacos, while Platinum VIP includes hosted food and a hosted bar.

Accessibility

Mariner’s Point Park is an accessible City of San Diego park with a sidewalk surrounding most of the park. Mission Bayfest provides designated accessibility facilities for guests with disabilities.

Accessible viewing: ADA guests have access to designated viewing areas with chairs positioned near the stages. One companion may accompany an ADA guest in the viewing areas, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

ADA parking: Twelve ADA parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis at Bonita Cove East Parking Lot near the main entrance. Vehicles must display valid disability parking credentials.

Accessible restrooms: Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are provided within the restroom areas located around the festival grounds.

Medical assistance: Medical tents are positioned near the opposite side of each stage, with medical staff available throughout the festival grounds.

Best days to attend

Friday: Friday is ideal for visitors who want to experience the opening day and begin the weekend with the festival’s music programme. Doors open at 3:00 PM, making it a shorter festival day than the weekend dates.

Saturday: Saturday is likely the strongest choice for visitors seeking the fullest festival atmosphere. Doors open at noon, giving attendees a full afternoon and evening to explore the lineup, food and VIP areas.

Sunday: Sunday is suitable for visitors who want another full festival day without attending the Friday opening. Doors open at noon, and the programme continues into the evening.

Best overall: A three-day pass provides the most complete Mission Bayfest experience because the lineup is spread across the entire weekend and the exact stage schedule is released closer to the festival.

Previous year’s highlights

The previous edition featured major artists including Sublime, 311, Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, Steel Pulse and Pepper, making it one of the strongest reggae-rock editions of Mission Bayfest.

The festival also expanded its performance environment with the Ventura Cove Stage, which provided a more intimate second performance area close to the water.

The 2025 edition was also notable for expanded festival capacity and use of additional Mission Bay areas, including Ventura Cove Park. City documents recorded plans to increase daily capacity to 15,000 attendees.
